HEART — which stands for Health and Equity through Advocacy, Research, and Transformation — was going through a rebrand ahead of their new program launch in 2019. This Toronto-based out-reach program relies on rigorous health science research and public advocacy alongside creative methods, such as community organizing and theatre, to tackle issues of health equity. The challenge was to include the lengthy but significant verbiage in the design of the logo. Designing an icon that stands within the logo gives the brand versatility.
