ABOUT MODERNO HAIR SYSTEMS
Moderno is an industry leader in hair integration systems and hair loss solutions. Their mission is to prolong hair health and peace of mind for individuals living with hair loss. They are pioneering the way forward with their innovative hair systems and holistic hair care products that are rooted in trichology. Our goal was to design a brand experience that felt both safe and edgy while appearing like a legacy brand that’s been around for years. This brand was developed in conjunction with their sister brand, the Modern Hair Academy.
During the brand strategy phase, I landed on the tagline Hair Peace of Mind. This felt so perfect for this brand and everything it represented. Their mission is all about giving individuals dealing with hair loss that freedom to live as they always did. But the tagline also felt like a play on words. Moderno is known for their innovative hair toppers (aka, hair pieces). So the hair peace of mind had double meaning when spoken. Of course, it was this very tagline that led to the signature logo that features a halo. This is the power of brand strategy as a starting point for brand development.
The Moderno Certification—in conjunction with the Modern Hair Academy, which we also developed—also needed its own brand marker. A small collection of logos was designed to be used as promotional materials for Moderno Certified hair professionals. This accreditation positions them as hair care solutionists and specialists in their area.

Tara Pross, the woman behind the business, had already been a sought after trichologist in the U.S. and so we decided to formalize her own personal brand. We adapted the same brand colours and created a collection of signature logos to shape the entire brand's reputation as nothing short of professional.
What really stood out for me were the personal touches along the way that made me feel valued and appreciated.
I hope to find the right words to convey how grateful I am for you and the experience I had working with you over the last three months. As a long-time small business owner of multiple businesses, I had never worked with a brand strategist. I have to admit, when it was recommended that I hire a brand strategist for Moderno and the hair academy, I was a little overwhelmed and I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was that I wanted a logo that reflected my personality and would appeal to my audience. Today, I not only have a logo, but an entire brand strategy that resonates deep with my vision for Moderno.
