For the Love of Markets is a—you guessed it—market company. Located in Toronto, Ontario this market company is all about bringing small business owners and their customers closer together. The goal for this brand identity design was to create a brand that felt fun and inviting, but that could also adapt to the various markets they'd come to host.

The challenge for this brand identity was creating a design that could showcase the long brand name without becoming busy or unappealing. We decided a typographic design was best for this brand as it needed to adapt to an array of future market events and work alongside venue brands as well. 

A fun, modern monogram brandmark was added to the range of logos for a secondary supporting design. It adds personality to the brand while still portraying a brand that is professional.

For this brand, we also needed to create a series of market-specific logos. Using a typeface that resembles a handwritten marker was the perfect custom touch to these custom logos. A perfect balance of fun and professional is achieved through the typographic choices used for the brand.

Both the brand logos and the market-specific logos all have a range of orientations to ensure the brand is versatile and can adapt to any brand placement needed.

FTLM social grid and templates

For the Love of Markets main channel is through their Instagram account, where their vendors, attendees, and communities are most active. With so many colours and images to accommodate in their grid, a series of templates were created that feature a white border for every post. This helps busy imagery and the mixing of the bold colours from overcrowding the grid.

A carefully curated content flow was a must have and will ensure the brand aesthetic works in their favour on their principle platform.
