ABOUT ASCEND CREATIVE AGENCY
Ascend is a Florida-based creative agency dedicated to accelerating the ascent of ambitious solopreneurs. They achieve this through brand strategy, visual storytelling, and a growing community network. As a new creative agency specializing in brand strategy themselves, it was important that they were walking the walk. I was fortunate to partner with this visionary leader to strategize their creative agency, lay the foundation for the brand, and design a brand identity that would capture their professionalism while offering their future clients a clean slate for their own brand vision.
During the brand strategy phase, we were able to simplify and strengthen the agency's brand messaging. This led to a clear brand position that would distinguish Ascend Creative Agency and make it clear to their target audience why they were the best agency to hire. Hiring someone outside of the agency to develop their brand strategy was important to successfully clarify the heart of the brand in a way that was concise and memorable.
While we created the brand to be intentionally minimalistic as a way to offer a blank canvas for their clients' individuality, it was important that the brand still captured their creativity. This was achieved by way of a casual script typeface to add creative energy to the brand experience and a series of hand-drawn icons that could be used as embellishments. Brand photography is just one of the agency's many strengths and we knew these hand embellishments would lend themselves well to the visual storytelling experience they are selling their clients.
