ABOUT DOREE'S HABIT
Doree's Habit is a small but popular retailer in Almonte, Ontario. They've been around since 2007 and when they had to close their doors temporarily during the COVID pandemic, they embraced the opportunity to rebrand their image. They had a clear vision for their new brand: a bold, retro-inspired logo that felt warm and welcoming.
The store is named after the owner's grandmother, Doree, and her love of shopping. Doree was known for her ability to find unique pieces that were high quality and affordable. This is what Doree's Habit offers to the community today.

Orange was a key colour in their original brand and it was important that the new palette kept this signature colour. Orange is all about optimism, friendliness, socializing — which is exactly the brand experience customers have shopping at Doree's Habit. Unlike big box brands, this environment is friendly, welcoming, and relaxed. The brand palette offers this same feeling.
To give the typographic logo versatility, we designed a series of logo variations including an offset outline logo, a flat logo, and a deep-shadowed primary logo design. For wider orientation logos, a shadowed wordmark was also created for the brand identity which borrows the wave effect to maintain the fun, retro feeling.

With so many logo placements needing round designs, a series of brandmarks were designed to give the brand recognition even in its simpilist form.
Jenny was a dream to work with. Branding for your company is a very personal thing and she hit the nail on the head with everything. Highly recommend!
