THE 3Rs THAT WILL EXPEDITE YOUR BRAND’S TRUST FACTOR

the 3 Rs that will build brand trust

Know. Like. Trust.

We’re all familiar with this simple equation when it comes to marketing. You want to build brand awareness (know), have them enjoy what you’re doing or saying (like), all so that they’ll trust you in the end and buy from you.

Maybe you already have a marketing strategy designed to foster the know-like-trust factor, but it’s not working as effectively as you’d thought.

Well, I'm about to introduce you to a different approach. One that any and every brand should implement to expedite their trust-factor with their audience.

Keep reading to learn the 3 Rs that will improve, not just your marketing but, your entire brand experience and the leads and sales that come from it.

CONTENTS

RELATABILITY

As an introvert, I hate talking about myself. I’ve become a master deflector when the focus of any conversation turns to me.

But as a personal brand and a service provider, I don’t have that same luxury.

If I expect people to hire me, I have to invite them in and allow my audience to get to know who they’re investing their hard earned dollars with.

Relatability is the fastest growing metric for building trust. Like attracts like. It expedites trust with your target audience because it tells them you’re like them in some way or another.

For example, when I was looking to hire a business coach early last year, the idea of finding the right coach for me felt extremely overwhelming. There are just so many business coaches out there. In the end, the coach I hired had been a brand designer before pivoting into coaching. This made my decision so much easier because I knew I could trust her to support me because our stories paralleled.

Shared values, similar journey, personality, location... there are many ways you can find common ground with your next client that makes you uniquely qualified to help them.

The question is, do YOU know where that magic overlap is between you and them?

By defining and clarifying the brand you’re inviting them to connect with, you’ll know exactly how to weave these points of connection into your brand experience to expedite your trust factor.

RELIABILITY

Next up: reliability. This is all about staying top of mind with the right people.

Approaching your brand development through the lens of your audience’s glasses shows you how to focus your messaging and your marketing to BETTER serve them.

Do a deep dive on who your ideal client is:

  • what are their biggest challenges?

  • what emotional hurdles are they up against and how do they want to feel instead?

  • what do they wish they had more of?

  • what are the little things you can do to support them in your content?

  • what are they looking for when it comes to hiring a business like you?

Reliability is about creating consistency and dependability that keeps your brand top of mind so you become the obvious choice to hire when the time is right. More than that, it keep your business top of mind for referrals too.

Your task is to think about the ways you can become a reliable source of information or inspiration for your dream clients. What can you commit to doing that keeps your business top of mind?

REPETITION

Finally—and possibly the most challenging of all—repetition.

The hardest part for most entrepreneurs is believing in their brand enough.

Those with DIY brands are the first to fail at this very crucial step. Why? Because in order to be repetitive, you need a brand you actually love and trust enough to keep showing up and speaking to the same things.

The power of repetition is not to be ignored when it comes to successful marketing and expediting that trust-factor.

Repetition is recognition.

It starts with being consistent in your visual brand experience. This helps improve your brand awareness and recognition. Every time you change your brand styles, you’re start back at square one.

But it’s simple brand messaging that’s memorable by design that is the true game changer for improved conversions.

This will only work when you have a strong core message you’re willing to commit to long enough for it to work its magic. Sales and marketing are a long game. Your audience needs to see your brand promise over and over again before they’ll start to register it.

Your willingness to be repetitive AF will slowly, but surely, occupy space in your dream client’s minds.

They’ll see you as the expert they need and the only choice that makes sense to help them reach their goals.

So ask yourself: how relatable, reliable, and repetitive are you being with your brand? This is your chance to do a self-audit and focus on strengthening your own brand using these 3 Rs as your guide.

If you’re really ready to expedite that trust-factor with your audience so your brand can start bringing home the bacon, developing a brand you are head-over-heels in love with is where you need to start.
